Reviews and Ratings
I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The location was beautiful and uncrowded, especially with the nearby closures that led to a peaceful atmosphere. The rooms were clean and quiet, providing a comfortable place to relax. Although the dining options were limited, the service was exceptional and the proximity to key attractions made it a convenient choice for exploring the area.
The hotel is conveniently located between Cambria and Hearst Castle, close to interesting attractions along road #1. The rooms may appear smaller and dark, especially when connected, but provide a fine view of the highway. The service was very nice and the location, while a bit inconvenient for some, is ideal for exploring key spots like Hearst Castle, elephant seals, and the beach.
I had a great stay at the hotel. The rooms were conveniently located, comfy, and always clean, although they weren't ready at check-in time, which meant a bit of a wait. The location was excellent, close to popular attractions and with plenty of space to relax. The dining options left much to be desired with a limited and poor-quality selection.
After a long day, my room at the end of the hall had all the right features like a fridge, microwave, and some even had fireplaces. I appreciated the counter with a mirror both inside and outside the bathroom, although the room was a bit too warm. The staff were helpful with directions and local info, even accommodating my request to switch the room easily at check-in. The location is fantastic, especially being close to Hearst Castle and the beach, but the prices are a bit high for these old motels. The dining experience offered homemade organic products, although the choices were limited, and the use of paper plates and plastic cutlery was a drawback.
I loved being close to where we parked the car for easy access, but the early morning noise was a drawback. The hotel's convenient location was a real plus, especially for those with mobility issues. However, the lack of AC was a downside.
The hotel has a great location, right across the street from Hearst Castle and a couple of miles from the Elephant Seal Sanctuary. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, but the headboard partly covering the window was a bit inconvenient. The service was very friendly and accommodating, although it seemed a little stretched thin at times. The dining options were limited and some items were disappointing. The facilities, like the breakfast area and pool, were clean and well-maintained.
